After a few days of very good behaviour, Miles climbed is 'reward chart' high enough for his treat!!
The reward was nicely written in large bold writing: "Skatepark and tea in the woods"!
He really is his father's son!!

The late afternoon was spent scooting around Southsea Skate park, and swimming in the Pyramids centre.
After getting dry and dressed at about 1800, it was time to test my latest Ti toy - an alpkit My Ti Pot (no longer available since they updated all their cooking stuff, so I got it for a tidy price as it was 'clearout')
We drove most f the way out of Pompey, picking a spot along the Eastern Road overlooking the tide bay.

I've already got a nicely used, burnt, and battered My Ti Mug from the same range, so knew what to expect from this pot - nice and thin walls, light, and the ability to pop the mug inside the pot for neater packing.
It's a cooking volume of 1.35l, and the lid can be used as a frying pan too.
Tonight's tea was fairly straightforward - Asda giant cous cous and one of the 'look what we found' dishes.
All this was to be cooked in the one pot on top of the Trangia burner/triangle combo- simples!

Like always, pictures tell a story far better than words could...

Despite looking like it was lit to me, the fire kept needing to be re-lit according to Miles.... hmmm...

I suppose I'd better give a brief review of the pot... It worked well heating the water for the cous cous, and using the lid as a pan to heat the chili con carne worked well too - a low heat on the trangia prevented burning or food sticking.
The little green bowls fitted neatly inside the pan afterwards too, so no mess got into my bag on the way home!
